Return Policy for Mobility Superstore

Mobility Superstore's return policy is strict compared to many Internet retailers. We do this primarily to keep costs down so that we can provide better customer service and offer even lower prices when you call us on the phone. Mobility Superstore takes care only to offer the highest quality products, backed by outstanding warranties, so that you won't have to make a return.

Initial Inspection of Goods - Please inspect your purchase upon delivery for defects or damage. If you find any defects or damage that have occurred during shipment, do not sign for the item. If you find defects or damage after delivery, they will be covered under the manufacturer's warranty and will be repaired or replaced at the manufacturer's discretion.

Returning Non-Damaged Goods - Returns can only be made within 10 days from Proof Of Delivery (POD). Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee and reimbursement of delivery charges. Customers are also responsible for costs associated with returning the item. Product exceptions are listed below. Please call before returning any item.

 

Lift Chairs

  • Custom Lift Chairs - Any upgrade of any type to a lift chair makes it a custom chair. Custom lift chairs can not be returned or canceled on the item is in production.

    *Leather lift chairs, even without an upgrade are considered a custom lift chair.

  • Unique Lift Chairs - Due to factory production times, Golden's 502 lift chair can not be returned and if canceled during production there will be a 25% restocking fee.

Stair Lifts

  • Stair Lifts

    Curved Stair Lifts: Curved stair lifts are custom made products.  The track is custom made to the curves of your stairs.  As this is a custom made product, curved to your specifications, it is non-returnable. Once the track has been made, your order becomes non-refundable.

    There are no returns on curved stair lifts, no exceptions.

    • Cancellation Prior to Shipment: 
      • AmeriGlide has a substantial investment in resources and labor and as such we have a 25% cancellation fee for any order cancelled after the measurement survey but prior to submission for production.
    • Refused Shipment PolicyThere are no returns on curved stair lifts, no exceptions.


    Straight Stair Lifts: Straight stair lifts are semi-custom made products.  The track can often be reused; however there are several hours of labor expense involved in the preparation of a lift for the application. In addition, shipping of a stair lift is expensive.

    AmeriGlide straight stair lifts may be returned within 5 business days of receipt for full refund less the following:

    • Restocking Fee: All returned stair lifts shall incur a 15% restocking fee calculated from the gross selling price to cover the cost of handling and initial preparation of the unit.
    • Initial Freight Charges: All returned stair lifts will be charged the outbound freight expense incurred by the company to ship the unit, which is $199.
    • Return Shipping: Return shipping is the obligation of the customer.
    • Cancellation Prior to Shipment: If your track has not been cut, you can cancel for a fee of $250.00 (per unit canceled).
    • Refused Shipment Policy: If a stair lift is refused by the customer at the delivery address, the customer will be responsible for a minimum $700.00 fee to cover prep, handling, track, and freight charges. 

    Please contact Customer Service at 800-922-3659 to obtain an Return Authorization form prior to shipping the unit back. The Return Authorization will provide exact instructions on the return process. 

     

Vertical Platform Lifts

  • Standard Vertical Platform Lifts - We classify 28" and 52" residential vertical platform lifts, with a straight through access, as a Standard Vertical Platform Lift. If a Standard Vertical Platform Lift has not been removed the original shipping carton, it may be returned within 10 days. The customer is responsible for shipping charges and will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee.  If a Standard Vertical Platform Lift that hasn't shipped may be canceled and may be subject to a 25% cancellation fee.
  • Non-Standard Vertical Platform Lifts - We consider any vertical platform lift other than a Standard Vertical Platform Lift as a Non-Standard Vertical Platform Lift (custom order). Upon placement of an order, construction of the lift begins immediately. Orders for Non-Standard Vertical Platform lifts may not be canceled for any reason.
  • Vertical Platform Lift Shipment Pickup - The customer has up to 12 days to pick up their lift from the terminal of destination. After 12 days, the lift will be returned to the warehouse and auctioned off.

 

NON-RETURNABLE GOODS

Adjustable Beds - Adjustable beds cannot be repackaged and returned by the customer, therefore we must arrange for repackaging and return delivery. The total fees for an adjustable bed return amount to $250 EACH for outbound delivery, return delivery, in-home setup, and in-home repackaging. There is also a 15% restocking fee. We understand these are high fees, but we must charge them in order to keep costs down. Mattresses are subject to the mattress return policy.

Adjustable Bed Linens - Effective 11/11/2011 we cannot accept returns on adjustable bed linens. This is because linens are custom made for each order to ensure proper fit and finish. Returns can only be accepted due to manufacturing defects. This does not include reasons such as ordering the wrong color, thread count, or size, unless the mistake was on our part.

Lifts & Carriers - Lifts and carriers are not returnable after accepting delivery. The manufacturer's warranty will begin upon accepting delivery. It will apply except on damage caused during installation by a non-qualified installer.

Massage Chairs - Massage chairs are not returnable.

Mattresses - Mattresses that have been used cannot be returned as they cannot be resold.

Walk-In Bathtubs - Walk-In Bathtubs are non-returnable for hygiene reasons.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations prior to shipment are subject to a 6% handling charge.

 

 

Your use of this site shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the state of Kentucky, U.S.A., without regard to choice of law provisions, and not by the 1980 U.N. Convention on contracts for the international sale of goods. You agree that jurisdiction over and venue in any legal proceeding directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to this site (including but not limited to the purchase of products) shall be in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky. Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the site (including but not limited to the purchase of products) must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises. Failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these terms and conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any of these terms and conditions. Mobility Superstore may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.
